Motorized Lubrication Unit 

Sky Lub has designed and manufactured motorized lubrication units for centralised automatic lubrication. These are electrically driven motor pumps containing reservoir, oil filter, suction strainer, bleed valve, pressure gauge, pressure relief valve etc. They are available both in MS and imported acrylic body.

Operation Theory
During on time of the motor which is normally 5 second metered amount of oil is ejected from all the metering cartridges to lubrcate the lubrication points. These metering cartridges are again recharged during off time of the motor. The outlet port of the pump is normally M10 X 1. Additionally pressure switch and float switch is applied to control over the oil presence and pressure. A lubrication timer/Controller is also used to get the oil on required intermittent basis. An oil indicator is used to visualise the minimum oil level. Sky Lub has added the provision of return line filtration with some models to reconsume access oil after it get filtered.

Distribution of Oil
Normally a main 6mm line from pump to minifolds is send on which required metering cartridges are fixed. Additionally a secondary line is arranged with 4mm tube is applied to connect all the lubrication points.

Precautions
We must always use oil with proper viscosity range which is 50-150 cSt for Transparent acrylic units and 50-1000 cSt for MS body. We should be regularly careful with the power connection to avoid motor burnt. Additionally we should fill oil before going its level below the 'minimum oil level' position to avoid entering of air in the unit.
